Closing Statement 

My personal learning goals when coming to this program were to build a fundamental knowledge about librarianship, understand and work with collection development, create programs to support STEAM education goals, how to understand community needs better, learn how libraries keep changing and keep on top of current library trends such as creating and using makerspaces. I have achieved these goals and more after completing the courses that are in this ePortfolio. I will continue to pursue my goals of becoming the best librarian I can be by continuing to learn, contributing to the library and information study profession, and keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and library trends. Listed below are how I plan to achieve these goals.

• Expand my knowledge base and apply the ALA Core Competences better. I will continue my passion for learning and become a better librarian at every opportunity by reading articles and books on the subject.

• Attend more conferences in the future to connect with others in the profession, also allowing me to stay up to date with the latest trends in library science. 

• Earn more certifications in the area of librarianship and library science. It is vital to stay current with professional training and certifications. 

• Actively participating in professional organizations is another way to achieve my goals. I plan to join the ALA Sustainability, Games & Gaming, and New Members Round Table.

• Subscribe to relevant journals. I will keep up with various journals that I have found throughout my learning journey at OU.
